Coaching Staff

Head Coach Todd Rainwater is in his third season coaching Prosper softball. In 2020 the Eagles had a 14-6 record and were 2-0 in district before the season was canceled. In 2019, he led the Eagles to a 21-13 mark, a second-place finish in District 9-6A, the Eagles' first season in 6A, and a Bi-District championship. Rainwater spent four seasons as an assistant coach before being promoted to the head coaching position after the Eagles’ successful 2018 season where they won the District 14-5A title with a perfect 14-0 mark and advanced to the regional quarterfinals.

Rainwater is a 1989 graduate of Plano Senior High School where he played catcher for the Wildcat baseball team. He then played collegiately at Hill Junior College and Richland Junior College before graduating with a BAAS from Midwestern State University. He spent 22 years in law enforcement in Collin County and currently teaches law classes at Prosper High. He is married to Stacey and has three children Zach (28), Alex (26), and Ashlyn (13).

Alicia Williams is in her 11th year of coaching and her fourth year as an assistant at Prosper High. Williams played collegiately at Southern Arkansas and Northeast Texas Community College, earning all-conference second team honors. She was a four-time All-District selection at Mount Vernon High School. Williams graduated with her BAAS from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and she teaches aerobics at Prosper High.

Coach Renna Bersosa is entering her 12th year of education and her 2nd at Prosper High School. Coach Bersosa is originally from west Texas. She is a 2003 graduate of Abilene Cooper High School where she was an All-District selection all 4 years as a catcher. She went to McMurry University and graduated with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and Minor in Math. In 2014 she completed her Masters in Education Administration at Texas A&M Commerce. She previously coached volleyball and softball at Abilene High School and Allen High School. Most recently, she coached softball at Plano Sr High School which included a UIL 6A State Tournament appearance. Coach Bersosa enjoys attending sporting events, traveling, exploring nature, and checking things off her buckets list. She is happily married and lives life to the fullest. Her favorite quote is “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”- Confucius. Coach Bersosa teaches Math and coaches volleyball and softball at Prosper High School.

Coach Lauren Ainsley is very excited for her first season coaching Prosper softball.  Se received her Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management with a minor in Business from Texas A&M University.  While at Texas A&M, she was a pitcher for the women's softball team where she attended four NCAA tournaments and gained the title of the highest batting average (feel free to ask her how).  Coach Ainsley is looking forward to being back out on the softball field and for a successful season of Prosper softball!
