Belton Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory To End Prosper's Season in Area Round

Prosper watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss to Belton on Saturday, ending the Eagles' season in the Area Round of the UIL Playoffs.

Belton got on the board in the first inning when Maddison Parker singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Prosper was a triple by Kat Luna in the third inning.

Taylor Tubbs was the winning pitcher for Belton. She went seven innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out nine and walking zero.

Elissa Griffin took the loss for Prosper. She went four and a third innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking one.

Gabby Coffey led Prosper with two hits in three at bats. 

Belton saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Miranda Davila and Paige Nunes all managed multiple hits for the Tigers. Belton was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Nunes made the most plays with nine.
